I was sitting in a meeting with people who'd been in the defense industry for years. Someone turned to me and asked about DSO, cashflow, and the variance of revenue for the financial period.
I had no idea what to say. Not because I wasn't capable. Because nobody had ever explained it to me in plain English. I was a veteran who'd worked on programs worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and I still didn't have the vocabulary to talk about my own work.
I don't want that to happen to you. That's why I built Acqlerate. Not to add more jargon to the pile. To give the people doing this job the plain English foundation they need to do it with confidence.
About the founder
I'm a U.S. Army veteran who spent my early career on the networking side, supporting special operations forces communications, before moving into defense acquisition. I hold a CCIE (Cisco's top-level networking certification) and a PMP, and I made the jump from network engineer to program manager on a large DoD contract in about three years, with no acquisition background walking in.
I went on to lead a defense program with a $950 million contract ceiling supporting U.S. Air Forces in Europe.
If I could learn this system starting from zero, so can you. That's the whole premise of Acqlerate: no textbook fluff, no assuming you already speak the language. Just plain English, real examples, and the stuff people usually only learn by getting burned on the job.

Most of what I post is the same plain-English breakdown you get in the curriculum, just shorter. Follow if you want the drip version.
